Welcome! We are Team Gappmakers and this is our very first blog. Following is a brief introduction to our team and our project.
Personal Motivation
Home is a safe-heaven. Who wouldn’t accept that? Be it a tiring day or a day where you just want to laze around, eventually, everyone finds comfort by coming back to their home. But sometimes it is not possible to just get home safely. This may be due to various reasons such as staying in a not so friendly neighbourhood or being unfamiliar with a new location or simply being too naive for roaming alone in the outside world. With an application like this, now one’s family, friends and other loved ones will be able to live peacefully knowing that their Son/Daughter/Brother/Sister etc. has “Got Home Safely”.
Gappmakers means that we are a team dedicated to maker Great apps for Great a life.

We, the G-APPMAKERS hail from four different engineering backgrounds. We believe that this diverse combination gives us an edge in inculcating the ideas from the various points in life that will help us make a more Practical android application for the masses. Not just the technical skills, but we bring various other soft skills like Presentation, Management, Inter-personal skills, creativity etc. through which the team will be able to deliver the product in a timely and systematic manner to the customer. We strive to give our best through the whole variety of expertise to our esteemed customers.
On a broader note, our team members Chao Yan and Robin Ranjan will be personally responsible for Implementation, Documentation and Managing for the project. While Rahul Kodarapu and Abhilash Mandal will be responsible in Desigining, Implemention and Testing for the project. Initially, each member of our team will be assigned a fixed role. We have chosen Chao Yan as our Scrum Master who will help us in dividing the tasks in non-biased manner, so that we all can assist each other in a more proficient way.
As our team members are all on different levels of programming and other required skills, we will meet weekly to discuss and explain each other about the work of others. Depending on the requirement of the project, we will vary the meeting frequency. For File sharing we have chosen cloud services by Google to keep each others in loop about the constant updates in the documentation. Regular common discussions usually will be carried out in WahtsApp group when necessary.
Our goal is to always put our customers’ requirements in first place and satisfy their needs as anticipated. We have fixed schedules and a core player for each process. When a new proposal is raised from the customer, the core player will continue doing the specific task and the rest three will cope with the new need. Instant meeting will take place if necessary to ensure the customer’s need is clearly understood and the best solution is come up with.
Requirement and Specification.
We will be having a detailed conversation with our customer Dr- Ing.Sandro Schulze to understand the needs and vision of the final output. In following days we will do thorough Requirement Analysis and plan our scrum runs.
