Hi, we are team myTimeTrackers from the software engineering class of 2018. We all are studying digital engineering at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität in Magdeburg, Germany. Essentially, we are going to develop a activity tracking app, with which you can observe your daily activities. This first blog article will give you a short introduction about the team itself, all team members and their individual motivations. Additionally, we will clarify our fundamental purposes for this project but first of all this is our team:

Puvvada Naga Venkata Akhil Kumar

Hi, I’m Akhil a Electrical Engineering student in bachelor’s with basic programming knowledge. Here, my motivation is to develop an android application so that i can improve my programming skills. I choose the topic “Activity Monitoring” as time is most valuable thing in the world as customers will mostly prefer this type of applications.

Johann Schmidt

Hello there, I’m Johann an electrical engineer from Germany. Essentially, my personal preferences are in software and programming. Honestly, I never developed an android application yet, but I’m looking forward to create my first one. I chose the topic activity tracking based on my personal interests compared to the other options. Furthermore, in my opinion this app have the most potential to get popular, whereas the data security and the belonging user confidence concerning there data will be one of the main issues, which we have to face.

Rathan kumar Chikkam

Hello all, i’m Rathan. I’ve done my bachelors in the field of mechanical engineering, where i also got a chance to be the manager for my college team in a national level project in which my responsibilites would focus on planning the tasks and schedule them accordingly as per the priorities. this project i.e “ activity tracking” resembles my role in above mentioned project and this is what motivates me.This is my first mobile application so far and i’m very excited to be a part of my team and looking forward to have great learning experience!!!

Sai Jyothi

I’m a bit of both electrical and computer engineer. I’ve completed my bachelors in electrical engineering but then started working as a software engineer in an MNC in India. Worked on different domains and various technologies like SCOM Engineer, Unix Administrator and Hadoop Administrator in 4.4 years. This course caught my attention as I know from the work experience how important it is to work as a team and manage to complete any project as a team by playing your individual role as a part of it as defined by the develoment methodology adopted. I Never had the chance to work on development of an android application for solving a real world problem and looking forward to learn and work as a team. I chose to work on this app instead of the others as i feel time management is very important and we can be more productive only if we know how and where we spent our time. So, by tracking the time we spent on different activities, we can realize the importacnce of any activity and plan more conciously in future.
